Series HUS

The couplings are characterised by a robust design, increased sealing performance and the particularly effective corrosion protection provided by the zinc-nickel coating. Available in nominal sizes from DN10 to DN25 and for operating pressures up to 350 bar. It is designed for maximum service life even under unfavourable ambient conditions. The burst pressure corresponds to four times the maximum operating pressure. Connector and female body can be coupled under residual pressure up to 20 bar. Mainly used in Scandinavian mechanical engineering.

Push-to-connect couplings from the HUS series (steel) in Nordic design - now in the STAUFF online shop

The STAUFF Push-to-connect couplings from the HUS series impress with their robust design, high sealing performance and durability, even under demanding conditions. They correspond to the so-called "Nordic Design" - a coupling design widely used in Scandinavian mechanical engineering - and enable safe coupling and decoupling even under residual pressure. The couplings are available in nominal sizes DN10 to DN25 and are suitable for operating pressures of up to 350 bar.

Thanks to the integrated decompression valve on the plug and socket side, simple coupling under pressure up to the operating pressure is possible - as long as only one side is pressurised. The high-quality zinc/nickel coating offers maximum corrosion protection - even for long-term outdoor use.

Materials and surfaces

The HUS series is made of durable steel and is designed for harsh operating environments. The zinc/nickel coating provides reliable protection against rust and environmental influences - even in highly variable weather conditions.

  • Housing material: High-strength steel

  • Surface: Zinc/nickel coating (corrosion protection class K5)

  • Valve design: poppet valve with decompression function

  • Robust internal components for increased service life

The clutches are designed for maximum durability - both mechanically and against environmental influences.

Product variants and sizes

The HUS series is available in four common nominal sizes. All versions are compatible with standard Nordic Design plug-in couplings and can be easily integrated into existing hydraulic systems.

  • Nominal sizes: DN 10, 12, 19, 25 (3/8" - 1")

  • Maximum operating pressure: up to 350 bar

  • Burst pressure: at least four times the operating pressure

  • Can be coupled under residual pressure up to 20 bar

  • Interchangeable according to Nordic Interchange Standard

  • Socket fitted with safety locking ring as standard

The robust design predestines the HUS series for use under continuous load and difficult environmental conditions.

Applications and areas of use

The plug-in couplings in the HUS series are primarily used in agriculture and forestry as well as in Scandinavian mechanical engineering. They are ideal for applications with high pressure requirements and changing operating conditions.

Typical applications:

  • Agricultural machinery and forestry technology

  • Hydraulic attachments

  • Construction machinery

  • Stationary hydraulics

  • Mobile hydraulic systems with high pressure loads

Advantages and unique selling points

The STAUFF HUS series combines the advantages of Nordic design with STAUFF's proven quality standards. It is designed for safe operation under demanding conditions and offers the highest connection quality over many operating cycles.

  • Market-orientated plug-in coupling in Nordic design

  • Compatible with commercially available couplings

  • High burst pressure (quadruple safety factor)

  • Can be coupled under residual pressure (up to 20 bar)

  • Zinc/nickel coating for long-lasting corrosion protection

  • Socket with safety locking ring

  • Easy handling without tools

  • Secure locking through ball mechanism

Certifications and standards

The plug-in couplings in the HUS series follow the Nordic Interchange Design and are compatible with comparable products from other manufacturers. They fulfil all requirements for high-pressure Push-to-connect couplings for mobile and stationary hydraulic applications.
